Neurorehabilitation in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences

The University of Florida has a longstanding history of research and clinical excellence in the rehabilitation of acquired brain injuries. Faculty within the college of Public Health and Health Professions in partnership with the Veterans Affairs Brain Rehabilitation Research Center (VA/BRRC) have numerous federally funded clinical research initiatives underway to develop effective treatments for a variety of disorders, including aphasia, traumatic brain injury, Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, and Frontotemporal Dementia. These initiatives span numerous departments, including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Clinical Neuropsychology, and Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences.
