Internal Funding Opportunities

  • UF Opportunity Seed Fund – Annual seed grant program that supports new projects and/or new collaborative partnerships and targets interdisciplinary, faculty-initiated research initiatives with potential for extramural support.
  • Programs Offered by the UF Office of Research - The Office of Research uses a combination of carry-forward funds and earnings from the UF Research Foundation to fund seven internal support opportunities.
  • PHHP Model Demonstration Grants - Meant to support an educational model that incorporates public health and the health professions into a special collaborative partnership.  Submissions must be multidisciplinary and involve faculty from at least two departments or units within the College of PHHP with one representing a “public health” discipline and the other representing a “health professions” discipline.  Proposals are usually solicited twice a year, in Fall and Spring.
  • Faculty Enhancement Opportunity Awards - These are part of President Machen’s efforts to support and enhance professional development opportunities for faculty.  Award amounts vary.  Applications are accepted and put forward to the Provost’s Ofice  in the Fall and Spring via an internal PHHP selection process.
