MODULAR GRANT GUIDELINES

Effective June 1, 1999, the National Institutes of Health requires the use of the Modular Grant Application on all unsolicited, new, revised, and competing continuation R01, R03, R15, R21, R41 and R43 grants and competing supplements, as well as any applications responding to RFP's for these mechanisms.  For details, please review the complete guidelines published in the NIH Guide (12/15/98).  In addition, NIH has created a Modular Grants website that has FAQ's, announcements and features of the new format, sample application forms (biographical sketch, budget narratives, etc.), review information pertaining to the modular format, as well as a listing of the Modular Grant Committee members.

To assist you in providing the required budgetary information to NIH, we have created a Modular Grant Worksheet in Microsoft Excel format.  Anyone who would like one-on-one instruction or assistance with preliminary budget calculations, please feel free to contact Ms. Tonia Lambert at 273-6197 or via email at tlambert@phhp.ufl.edu to schedule an appointment.
