Dr. Logan’s research examines factors that affect speech fluency in people with and without communication disorders. Within this area, his main area of interest is developmental stuttering. His research has examined (a) the factors that contribute to variability in fluency performance, (b) the effects of behavioral therapy and assistive technology upon communication disability in speakers who stutter, (c) factors that influence listener’s perceptions of people who stutter.
